Changing an OKX referral: check the program and region first
OKX account attribution depends on the applicable program. Learn what to verify before requesting an existing-account connection.
Referral and affiliate are not interchangeable
Searching for an OKX referral change can return advice about ordinary friend invitations, affiliate relationships or Web3 wallets. These are not the same account flow. Begin with the centralized exchange account you use, the country registered on that account and the program named in the official help page. A Turkish-language interface alone does not tell you which entity or regional rules apply. Keep the original account open while you investigate; an internet guide cannot authorize a new account or reset identity verification.
A documented EEA route has prerequisites
OKX’s EEA Affiliate FAQ describes rebinding only when the destination affiliate has Win Back Invitation enabled. It uses an affiliate invitation link or a numeric channel ID; an ordinary invitation code is not that ID. Eligibility is checked automatically and the detailed conditions are not public. Support cannot manually assign the relationship. This regional procedure is not a guarantee for every OKX customer or for FeeBuddies.
Why other official pages can sound different
The ordinary OKX Referral Program FAQ says completed registrations usually cannot have their referral relationship added or changed, and warns against deleting and recreating an account. That page concerns a different program from the EEA affiliate procedure. Read both in context rather than taking one sentence as a universal answer. If the help center changes locale or regional entity while you browse, record the page you used and ask the exchange which version applies to your signed-in account.
