Can your existing exchange account earn FeeBuddies cashback?
A practical checklist for account attribution, eligible activity and verified cashback, without assuming your referral can be moved.
Three checks, not one promise
An existing exchange account can raise three separate questions: does it belong to the relevant partner relationship, does the activity qualify, and has an eligible commission been reported? A yes to one is not a yes to all three. Adding your UID to FeeBuddies starts an account check; it does not rewrite exchange records or guarantee a future amount. Begin with the exchange account you actually trade on, and keep expectations provisional until its connection and the product coverage have been verified.
Identify exactly which account you mean
Copy the UID from your signed-in exchange profile and select the same exchange in FeeBuddies. Do not enter your FeeBuddies member number, a transaction hash or a deposit address. If you use multiple permitted account structures, ask which identifier the partner verification requires instead of assuming that a main account and subaccount will be treated identically. Note the registration date and any referral information the exchange displays. You need an accurate account description, not a new registration created solely to pursue a different code.
Use the exchange-specific guide
| Exchange | Missing code | Existing relationship |
|---|---|---|
| Bybit | Eligible unbound main accounts: within 14 days | No ordinary code change; separate reactivation policy needs confirmation |
| OKX | Check the applicable program and region | Conditional regional Win Back process; not universal |
| BingX | Limited linking for accounts with no trades or invited users | Existing referrer change unsupported |
| MEXC | Eligible missing-code addition within 30 days | Linked code cannot be changed or removed |
Referral rules differ across exchanges and programs. Our separate Bybit, OKX, BingX and MEXC guides distinguish missing-code additions from actual relationship changes. Use the guide for your exchange and confirm that its referenced official page applies to your account’s region. An ordinary sign-up link should not be treated as a transfer instruction. When the public procedure is unclear, ask the exchange for the applicable rule and FeeBuddies for a supported partner connection. Do not infer an approval deadline from a community post.
Compare the correct amounts
Commission paid to a partner and an exchange rebate paid to a trader are separate concepts, as BingX’s official commission FAQ illustrates. For your own worksheet, record actual fees paid, any existing exchange benefit, eligible commission confirmed and FeeBuddies cashback credited. Consider an invented example: a statement shows a 12-unit fee and a 3-unit credit; the difference is 9 units only if both entries concern that same fee and neither already includes the other. This arithmetic example is not a quoted partner rate or a promise of eligibility.
Make unresolved cases easy to investigate
If the UID is not recognized, check the digits and exchange selection before opening a support request. If the account is recognized but a payment is missing, identify the specific product, date range and fee record instead of repeatedly submitting the account. Keep a private comparison sheet and provide only the minimum relevant details through authenticated channels. Never share passwords, two-factor codes, recovery phrases or API secrets. Avoid sending identity documents to an unofficial helper. Most importantly, do not increase trading merely to test a potential rebate; commission verification should follow your activity, not dictate it.
Will previously paid fees be refunded after I connect?
Do not assume backdated cashback. Ask which verified activity and reporting periods are eligible before counting a historical payment.
What does a pending account mean for my trading?
Treat eligibility as unresolved. Keep normal risk limits and request clarification; a pending status is not an instruction to deposit or trade.
